lists of arbitrators

Either for the collective labour dispute settlement or for the definition of essential services within the framework of a strike, lists of arbitrators are drawn up that aim to form the different arbitral colleges.

Public employees representatives’ arbitrators’ lists are made up of eight arbitrators and drawn up by trade union confederations. In its absence, the competence for drawing it up falls upon the President of the Economic and Social Council.

Employer entities’ arbitrators’ lists are composed of eight arbitrators and drawn up by the Government member in charge of Public Administration area. In its absence the competence for drawing it up is conferred on the President of the Economic and Social Council.

The list of president arbitrators is composed of judges or retired magistrates, indicated, in number of three, by each one of the following entities:

- High Council of the Judiciary;
- High Council of Administrative and Fiscal Courts;
- High Council of the Public Prosecution.
