WORKING HOURS» Concept Period during which the public employee is performing his/her activity or remains assigned to its fulfilment » Interruptions and breaks The following interruptions and breaks integrate the work schedule: » Occasional » Inherent in the meeting of undelayable personal needs of the worker » Forced by technical grounds » Imposed by special norms of safety, hygiene and health at work » Normal work period Working time that the public employee is obliged to perform, measured in number of hours per day and per week » Period of functioning Daily time period during which the bodies or services may fulfil their activity » Customer support period Daily time period during which the bodies or services are open to deal with the public; they may be equal or lower than the period of functioning » Week rest Public employees are entitled to a compulsory weekly rest day and one complementary weekly rest day that, as a rule, shall coincide with Sunday and Saturday |
