Prolonged absence from the service in the interest of the public employee, weighted the public interest, for reason of fulfilment of functions in international organizations

» Forms

» Leave of a precarious or experimental nature

» Leave for integration in the establishment plan of international organization

» Formalities

» Request of the public employee, presented with a supporting document of his/her situation vis-à vis the international organization

» Joint authorization of the Foreign Affairs Minister and the Government member responsible for the service in which the applicant public employee is integrated

» Effects

- It suspends the public employment relationship

- The public employee is entitled to have the leave time considered for seniority purposes

- The public employee may continue his/her deductions for thecorresponding health subsystem, based on the compensation held at the time of the leave beginning

- The public employee is entitled to fill a work post in the return at the term of the leave

» Early return

The early return of the public employee shall be dependent upon the existence of a work post not filled in the workforce list of the respective service. However, he/she may apply for open competition procedures
