INITIAL PARENTAL LEAVE EXCLUSIVE OF THE MOTHER

Justified absence from work of the working mother in periods immediately subsequent to and/or before the birth

» Regime

» Period until 30 days of initial parental leave that the public employee may enjoy before the birth

» Compulsory period of enjoyment of six weeks after the birth

» Formalities

» Inform the public employer on the intention of enjoyment of parental leave before the birth, submitting medical certificate, with the predictable date of the same with 10 days in advance or as soon as possible in the case of urgency duly proven by the physician

» Make the delivery of the certificate testifying the birth, in any case
