» Concept and scope

Absence of the public employee for the time strictly necessary for outpatient treatment, medical appointments and complementary diagnostic examinations that cannot be carried out outside the normal work period

It is also applicable to a public employee who needs to accompany the spouse or equivalent, ascendants and descendants, adopting and adopted, stepchildren, minors or disabled when demonstrably the public employee is the most suitable person to do it

» When predictable are compulsorily communicated to the public employer within a minimum 5 days in advance

» When unpredictable are compulsorily communicated as soon as possible

» The public employer may within 15 days of communication request document proving the facts invoked for the justification
