CAREERS TYPESTaking into account the nature of the work positions the careers are divided in: General careers » Those which functional contents characterise work positions that the generality of bodies or services need for the development of the respective activities » The professional, administrative staff and technical support staff are general careers Special careers » Those which functional contents characterise work positions that only one or some bodies or services need for the development of the respective activities » Regarding the number of categories According to the number of categories that integrate them, the careers may be: Uni-categorical careers Careers to which corresponds a single category Multi-categorical careers » Careers divided into more than one category » In the multi-categorical careers to each one of the categories, corresponds a functional content distinct from the remaining ones » Regarding the qualifications level According to the qualifications level demanded for integration in each career, they are classified in three degrees of functional complexity: Careers of grade 1 When compulsory schooling is demanded even when added up to suitable vocational training Careers of grade 2 When 12 years schooling is demanded or equivalent course Careers of grade 3 When a university degree or higher academic degree is demanded |
