DUTIES
» Public Employees are subject to general and special duties
» General duties are common to all public employees
» Special duties are specific of certain categories, careers or professional groups
» General duties are
Duty to pursue the public interest
Pursue the common good and the general interest in the respect of Constitution, the laws and rights and individual interests
Duty of neutrality
Act in such a way so as not to benefit unlawful pecuniary of other advantages of any kind whatever, for himself/herself or for third parties
Duty of impartiality
Act disregarding private interests, without positive or negative discriminations
Duty of information
Provide information requested with exception of that which is deemed classified
Duty of zeal
Be aware and apply norms and instructions in force and act in accordance with the objectives and competences that shall achieve and develop
Duty of obedience
Observe lawful orders of hierarchical superiors, in matters pertaining to service
Duty of loyalty
Observe and be subject to service objectives
Duty of good manners
Deal with citizens, hierarchical superiors, and public employees with courteousness
Duty of assiduity
Regular attendance in the service on the days in which he /she is obliged to be present
Duty of punctuality
Comply with working hours and breaks laid down for the service
Public employees also have the duty to attend training courses for which they were enrolled and, under a requalification situation, shall comply with duties inherent to this situation
