PARTICIPATION IN THE BODIES AND STRUCTURES OF ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT OF EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS

» Concept

Absences given by governing bodies’ holders of parents’ associations, or of their representative structures, to attend meetings with administration and management bodies of educational establishments

» Effects

» Determines the loss of the corresponding pay

» Absences in question may still be given in half day periods, the respective justification shall be made by means of submission of a call and document proving the presence of the public employee in the meeting

» Scope

Absences given by parents and legal guardians who are members of administration and management bodies of pre-school educational public establishments as well as basic and secondary education to participate in meetings of those bodies, when duly called

» Effects

» Within the credit days legally set, are deemed justified absences, without loss of pay, but with loss of meal allowance:

a) Assembly one day per quarter
b) Pedagogic Council, one day per month
c) Class Council, one day per quarter
d) Educational Municipal Council, whenever it meets
e) Commission for the Protection of Children and Young People, at municipal level, one day every two months

» In addition to the credit, are deemed justified absences, but entail the loss of the corresponding pay
