WORK SCHEDULE

» Concept

It is understood as work schedule the establishment of commencing and ceasing hours of the daily work normal period or of the respective limits, as well as the rest breaks

» Regime

Competence

It is incumbent upon the top manager to fix the service?s functioning and customer support periods, by ensuring their compatibility with the existence of diverse regimes of performance of work, so as to ensure regular compliance with missions assigned

This competence is preceded from consultation of public employees, through their representative organisations

Registration

The compliance with duties of assiduity and punctuality, as well as the normal work period, must be checked by registration systems (automatic, mechanical or of other nature)

Interruptions

The daily normal work period is interrupted by a rest break of duration not lower than one hour nor higher than two hours, except in exceptional cases duly grounded, so as public employees do not perform more than five hours of consecutive work, save in the case of the continuous workday

Workers holders of disability

For the public employees? holders of disability, more than one rest break, and with different duration of that one provided for in the preceding number, but without exceeding in total the limit therein established. May be fixed by the respective top manager and at the concerned person?s request

» Patterns of work schedule

According to the nature of their activities, the services may adopt, with regard to workers on an appointment regime, the following patterns of work schedule:

» Work schedule divided by two daily periods with inflexible commencing and ceasing identical working hours, separated by a rest break

» Flexibility of working time

» Different fixed commencing and ceasing working hours

» Work schedule for shift work

» Specific work schedules

» Continuous workday

» Non subjection to work schedule

» Exemption from work schedule
