Death allowance

The allowance is equal to 6 times the monthly average compensation of the two best years of the last five with compensations registration, having as a minimum limit six times the Social Support Indexation value

Survivor’s pension

Variable percentages of the retirement pension or of that which would have right on the death’s date, according to rightholders:

» Spouse and former spouses: 60% or 70%, according to 1 or more than 1 survive

» Descendants: 20%, 30% or 40%, according to 1, 2 or 3 or more survive, if there is a spouse or former spouses entitled to the pension. Where there is not, 40%, 60% and 80% according to 1, 2 or more descendants survive

» ascendants: 30%, 50% or 80%, according to 1, 2 or 3 or more survive who meet legal conditions required

» Request for benefits

The death allowance and the survivor’s pension are required to the social security services of the beneficiary’s residence area (rightholder), within the time limit of 5 years calculated as from the death’s date or the disappearance

The pension is due as from the following month to that of the beneficiary’s death, if it is required within the time limit of 6 months calculated as from that date, and in the following month to the delivery of the request, in other cases
