PPERFORMANCE BONUSES

Subjective scope

Public employees who, cumulatively, fulfil functions in a service and, in the absence of a special law opposite to it, have obtained, in the last performance assessment, the maximum rating or that one immediately lower to it and integrate previously defined universes, are entitled to the grant of a performance bonus provided that the amount available to bear this type of charges has not been spent

Note

The top manager of the body or service sets, well-grounded, within the time limit of 15 days after the commencement of the execution of the budget, the universe of positions and careers and categories where the grant of the performance bonuses may take place, taking into consideration the budget allocations intended to bear the charges provided for with the grant of performance bonuses

» Distribution of the maximum amount of the charges

The maximum amount of charges set for each universe is distributed, by decreasing order of the quantitative classification achieved in the performance assessment, so that each public employee receives the equivalent to his/her monthly basic salary

» Other performance rewarding systems

In the budget limits provided for, other performance rewarding systems may be created and regulated, namely according to results achieved in team or of the public employees’ performance who are positioned in the last pay step of the respective category

The creation of these rewarding systems is made by law, with regard to the appointees, or by collective labour regulation instrument, in the case of public employment legal relationships formed by contract
