CHRISTMAS ALLOWANCE

Public employees fulfilling public functions are entitled to a Christmas allowance of an amount equal to a monthly basic salary

» How is calculated

» The Christmas allowance corresponds to a monthly basic salary

» In the year of admission of the public employee, or in which a suspension or permanent termination of functions occurs the amount of the allowance shall be equivalent to so many duodecimal as the full months of service performed in that year, which shall be appraised by the last salary received

Note

Christmas allowance is monthly paid by twelfths and calculated monthly on the grounds of the corresponding relevant compensation, after the compensation deduction provided for in the budget law
